
It’s not just Intel, and it’s not just Nvidia who launched a new microprocessor for the market. Yesterday, AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) unveiled its latest chip code-named Puma for the computing world. Puma has a CPU which is the Turion X2 Ultra chip having two K8 cores that is also used in the Athlon chips. The new platform Puma also has independent dynamic cores that help set different power level to the cores. Aside from that, Puma chip also possesses optimized HyperTransport 3 and a mobile-optimized memory controller.
