So LG may not have the best mobile phones but they have some of the best marketing ideas ever. They have created the 18 karat gold version of the LG Shine in an attempt to market the new Paramount Studios movie the ‘Iron Man’. I know it is kinda hard to draw a link between the phone and the movie –which come out May 2nd- but according to LG ‘cell phones often perform heroic feats’ just like the Iron Man.

The bad news for all those of you who fell in love with this at first sight is that the phone will not be sold in stores. However, if you are feeling extremely lucky and live in the USA, LG have launched a site with sneak peaks from the movies and more and if you visit this site you will get the chance to win the $1500 beauty. LG have even shoved the star of ‘Iron Man’ Tony Stark into their marketing campaign claiming he ‘embodies what LG is all about’.
