Well, even if it is not, Samsung is already pushing forward the very first 3D Plasma HDTV in the form of the PAVV Cannes 450 that features a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. This is the highest contrast ratio in the industry today. To make this possible, Samsung makes use of Cell Light Control. Aside from that, it has Samsung Digital Natural Image engine + (DNIe+) and what this does is it controls the external noise, contrast ratio as well as the color displayed by this 3D TV.

But I’m not sure how you’ll take this next information. According to Samsung, to use the 3D HDTV you have to connect it first to a high-end PC that hold up 3D software. Now this next thing sounds fun. You have to wear 3D glasses to enjoy 3D games and movies.

The PAVV Cannes 450 will surely liven up your living room. Just imagine this 50-inch baby sitting at the center of your living room. Wow, visitors will envy you for sure. This will be available in two sizes – the 42-inch model and the 50-inch model. Right now this is only available in Korea, but Samsung also hopes to launch it in the United States this year.
