Handheld Sony Bravia TV

If you think Sony is only capable of handling handheld game consoles, then you’re outright wrong! Sony is getting ready to launch Bravia TV handheld version. Target date for the release is April of this year. So how would you take that?! Even if the previously released Sony Bravia LCD TV is excellent, there are still a lot of people who did not opt to buy because of its price, and it cannot just be carried anywhere. Creating a mini-version of the Bravia LCD is a genius idea, especially for people out there who want portable entertainment on the go.

Let’s go down to the basics for you to know if this handheld XDV-D500 Bravia handheld is up to your sophisticated standards. The XDV-D500 boasts a 3-inch display with 432 x 420 pixel resolution. Viewing angle is up to 160 degrees with 500:1 ratio in contrast. The 2GB internal memory would be enough to hold approximately 10 hours of recorded TV programs. And the battery can get you 8 hours of TV viewing. Is that great or what?

Take note that there is another handheld TV that will be coming from Sony. This is the XDV-G200 that features a 2-inch LCD, AM/FM radio minus the recording function. This second model does not have the Bravia technology.

However, the price might discourage some interested buyers. The Bravia XDV-D500 costs $355 and the XDV-G200 $280.
