More and more Internet users are leaning towards online storage for keeping their precious documents. There are several reasons for this like limited storage space of the PC and accessible mobility. By just storing pictures, music, videos and various files on an online storage system, the user will not have a hard time accessing them wherever he happens to be. There are already several big companies offering online storage service and now Google is adding to their number. Several months back there was already a rumor regarding this matter and now it’s on again because the launch of Google’s “Gdrive” storage service seems to be near.
According to reports this service is likely to be released on the early part of 2008. The service will offer a certain amount of free storage and then beyond that, the space will already come for a fee. Through this system the user will have the convenience of easy storage as well as sharing with peers.
This Gdrive has been 5 years in the making. Anyway, it won’t be a long wait now since a date has already been named. Hopefully it’s not a rumor anymore.
