Sony PS3

Sony now has a big reason to be really proud of their PlayStation 3. You know that the PS3 has been getting some bad reviews lately because of the poor sales it’s been making. It’s now almost a year since the PS3 was unleashed but it seems like it’s only now that Sony is getting the kind of sales figure it has been expecting. In just one week Sony was able to sell over 100,000 units of the PS3! That’s already a record because the usual sale per week is around 40,000 units. This definite improve is due to the price cuts made by Sony on the 80GB PS3, which now only costs $499. And then there’s also the new 40GB model that available at $399.

Sony is sure glad of these sales figures. Sony’s CEO Howard Stringer said, “ We’ve been holding our breath. Finally, the turning point has been passed.” But despite this, there’s still the question on whether it will hold up against it fiercest game console competitors, no other than the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii.
