I like playing the guitar; in fact it is my favorite hobby. But when the sound produced becomes suddenly unpleasant or out of tune I immediately ask my friend to tune it. But the problem is, what if my friend is not around? Who’s going to tune my guitar? It’s a good thing that Gibson has developed a new line of self-tuning guitars. Well, if I could afford its price of $899 it would be great thing. Gibson self-tuning guitar makes use of the Powertune system that was conceptualized and built by Tronical, a German company.

Automatically the user can tune the strings by pulling out the Master Control Knob that is located on the body and with the aid of the piezoelectric pickup the sound of each string can be precisely read. Upon activating the system’s knob just strum the open string and the guitar tunes itself within seconds. Once the pickup comes in contact with the strings a signal is immediately sent to the digital signal-processing electronics that is located in the cavity of the guitar. Once you’re done tuning you should turn off the Master Control Knob by pushing it down so that the guitar will not keep on re-tuning. And the great thing about this is that it comes preprogrammed with the conventional as well as alternate tunings.

Rockers can greatly benefit from this self-tuning guitar. Amateurs like myself would also find this self-tuning feature quite advantageous.
