Do like all things mechanical? Are you that type who wants everything around you to be electrically operated…to the extent that even your pets are the mechanical kind? Then you’ll find a furry friend in the Interactive Parrot from Hammacher Schlemmer. If you don’t know that this is actually an electronic device you can mistake it for a real parrot. It can do almost all the things that real parrots do like head bobbing, flapping wings and making cooing sounds.
It can also make responses when you talk to it…provided that you program its responses using the voice recognition technology that goes with it. It can also be an affectionate pet because when you touch its beak it gives you a kiss. You can also feed it like a real parrot but I don’t know if it actually eats the cracker you feed it, maybe just keep it stuck in its mouth? Aside from being an electronic pet, this Interactive Parrot also entertains with dancing whenever there’s music playing in the background. The whole package – parrot, perch, plastic cracker and remote control all costs $79.95.
Which would you prefer really, this one or a real parrot?
