Fujitsu Siemens PDA

What would make a company stop producing some of its product line? One reason that I know of is the drop in the market’s demand. This is one of the main reasons that Fujitsu Siemens is withdrawing from the PDA and GPS market. This bit of news was first published in a German paper and it’s been confirmed by an FS spokeswoman last week. The company is only giving it until the end of the year before they finally cease all production for this side of the market. Fujitsu Siemens is known for some of its PDAs or Personal Digital Assistant like the Pocket Loox brand.

The Loox line made up of PDAs that contain GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities like the N100 and N110. Pocket Loox is include phones with email capability and that look like the popular Blackberry, a perfect example is the T830. With this move, FS will just be focusing in the production of notebooks and tablet PCs. With this new focus I guess that we can expect and look forward to better display, battery and hard drives from Fujitsu Siemens.

Well…it will be minus one competition for other companies specializing in PDAs and GPS gadgets.
