To be able to reach to a wider scope of the market, Dell is venturing out into the music entertainment. This intention to move into a broader market is made known when the company announced that it intends to acquire mobile entertainment software Zing. This will definitely add more “zing” to Dell’s reputation, not to mention their sales! Zing is the company that is responsible for the technology used in music players such as Sansa Connect from SanDisk and Stiletto 100 from Sirius.

Zing Systems is a California-based company currently having 120 employees. But when the negotiations become complete Dell will retain all of these 210 employees so they have nothing to worry about. This new acquisition will be a third for Dell in just a short span of time, just weeks in fact. Previously, Dell has acquired SilverBack Technologies and Asap Software. With this new acquisition expect more from Dell in the months to come, not just PCs but various audio technology!
