Asus unleashed a new laptop that goes by the name Asus EEE. This one is unlike the other laptops you see around because it is tagged as the smallest and the cheapest device to date. I believe it is the smallest laptop because it only features a 7-inch display! So if it’s small, of course it follows that it is also light and can be carried around easily, wherever you want to go. You might wonder about its unusual design, well it’s because it not purely a laptop but a hybrid! It’s ½ UMPC and ½ laptop. It could be everything that you need in a portable computing device since it is built for easy learning, playing and working!

This hybrid device runs using the Linux operating system, which offers fast reboot. Although it is Linux operated, users who prefer to have Windows XP can do so. This laptop ships with applications such as Open Office, Skype and Firefox. Connectivity offered is WiFi 801.11b/g, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with the 56K modem. For whatever task needed to be done, the 512MB, DDR2-400 memory is always on stand-by. It’s already built with 0.3-megapixel camera.
