Motorola is about to unleash a new product that could belong in its music phone line-up. This gadget I’m talking about is what they call as the ROKR U9. After the consonant-deficient names for their previous phones like RAZR, RIZR and SLVR…oh and KRZR, it’s no longer much of a surprise that once again Motorola came up with the name as ROKK U9. But according to some sources these characters have significance and meaning, and were not just randomly chosen.

Anyway, this ROKR U9 is said to feature a big color LCD display and just beneath it are the playback controls for playing music. These are built on top of the slide-and-flip design. It has a mini-USB connection where headphones can be attached for listening pleasure. Aside from the ones I’ve mentioned so far, no other features have been disclosed about the Moto ROKR U9. So far, no news has been released on how much this music phone would cost. We’ll keep a look out for it though…
