During the World Wide Developers Conference last Monday Apple also let the world know about their web browser – Safari that will work right on the Windows OS. At the present time, Safari 3 is already available for download just for a test run in the meantime. PC users with Windows OS who want to try out something new aside from the dominant Internet Explorer and Firefox will really be able to see and evaluate for themselves if Safari 3 is really twice as fast as IE and 42-percent quicker than Firefox when it comes to HTML browsing, as what Steve Jobs disclosed during his announcement.

Those who want to try out Safari 3 can expect the following capabilities:
• Private Browsing
• Snapback
• Tabbed Browsing
• Pop-up Blocking

But even with these new features of the browser, safari 3 still has a long way to go before it can gather a significant percentage of users. 80 percent of the market is on to Microsoft’s IE browser while 15 percent is onto the open source browser Firefox. It’s expected that by October Apple will be able to release the final version of Safari 3.
