HTC Touch Rival to Apple’s iPhone?

HTC Touch

Think the iPhone is becoming overrated? With all the hubbub going on about the impending official launch of the iPhone maybe by now you’d like to hear something that can rival it? HTC has a new handset that also makes use of the revolutionary touch-screen technology. And this wonderful technology is reinforced by its awesomely cool look. It’s just on the small and lightweight side, only 4 inches in height, 2.3 inches in width and almost half-inch thick and 4 ounces. Facilitating its touch-screen capability is the 2.4-inch screen that makes up most of its fascia.

Though it is a touch-screen phone, HTC Touch did not completely do away with the keypad because it still has one navigational pad below the screen. HTC Touch will be available in two colors; you can watch out for the elegant soft black or the Wasabi Green Color. Haven’t seen what Wasabi green looks like but for sure they’ll both be cool colors.

And this HTC Touch is does not only have good looks but capability as well with its TouchFlo technology that’s based on the Windows Mobile 6 Professional. This is also a tri-band GSM,/GPRS/EDGE capable. It makes use of 201 MHz OMAP CPU, 1100 mAH battery that caters 200 hours of standby and 5 hours for calls. Some more of its features are 64 MB RAM/128 MB ROM with free 1GB microSD card.

Europe and Asia will be the first to sample the HTC Touch mobile. North America will likely have it in the later part of the year. So do you think the HTC Touch is a worthy rival to iPhone?
