Some people consider Smartphones as heaven-sent devices since it already functions almost like a personal computer. But then there are those who are not yet content with accessing Internet applications via mobile phones. Big screen and a full-size keyboard is still needed especially for editing documents and the like. Palm has come up with a perfect buddy to complement their smartphones in their functions.

The new companion is the Palm Foleo, which weighs 2.5 lbs or 1.13 kilograms. This can be used hand in hand with the Palm smartphone by means of a Bluetooth wireless link. Internet browsing in the Foleo is also supported through a WiFi card or smartphone radio. Through this new buddy users can do what they need to do in a larger 10-inch display.

In order to work really well, the Foleo employs the Linux operating system that will work with both the Palm OS and the Windows Mobile edition of Palms Treo. Its battery will allow you to work for approximately five hours. Palm Foleo will be available for $500 with a rebate of $100.
