Toshiba Portable Media Gigabeat V

If you had he chance to try the Gigabeat V that Toshiba introduced last year then the new Gigabeat V models would be a welcome addition. The new Gigabeat V offers better and newly improved features as compared to its predecessor. Though the Gigabeat V801 is not that beautiful to look upon, it still epitomizes a truly portable media center as it weighs just 8.6 ounces and 9.3 ounces for the 40GB and the 80GB models. A good thing about the Gigabeat is that it has a big 4-inch screen with 480 x 272 pixels featuring built-in brightness sensor for automatic light adjustment.

Some more of its features include WMA capability, WMA 9 Lossless, MP3, WAV and WMV playback. With 28 hours of battery life when listening to audio and 8 hours video viewing, you’ll really have the entertainment you want with Toshiba Gigabeat V801 portable media. June 1 is the scheduled release in Japan. The 40GB model will sell for about $409. The 80Gb on the other hand is a bit pricier - $491.
