I think I’ve said it before the world of technology will never stop in coming up with new and better gadgets that will make life more interesting and convenient. In this day and age where everyone is always on the move the portable media is a heaven sent thing. In terms or new portable media VW or Volkswagen in partnership with LG announced the newest media player in town – the Beetle digital media player. Well, this player is still a far cry from Apple’s iPod but the mere fact that it is the product of another great names team-up should make it interesting.

The body is made of aluminum with the VW badge in the front panel and a new Beetle logo on the rear portion. Colors of the VW car are also used in the player to make it a true embodiment of the famous Volkswagen – Salsa Red, Sunflower Yellow and Shadow Blue.

The Beetle has a 2.4-inch color LCD screen and for its internals it is compatible with MPEG-4, Windows Media Video 9, MP3, Windows Media Audio and Ogg-format files. It is also integrated with 2 flash games for your entertainment. No price has been quoted for the 2 Gb and 4 GB versions that will be produced.
