Brain-Controlled Gaming Gadget

How would you feel about having a game where you no longer have to use your hands, just your mind? Just imagine that, the brain as the joystick? Certainly there’s no other powerful tool than the brain. There will be such a game pretty soon with the development of a commercial controller that can sort out the human thoughts. This controller also called the Project Epoc is actually a brain/computer interface that goes together with a helmet and software applications produced by Emotiv Systems. Through the nerve-sensitive helmet, electric signals in the brain are detected and the machine processes it through a receiver that is connected to the USB port enabling the objects to move and respond to whatever kind of stimuli is received from the user’s brain.

But then the developers believe this will work better with children as well as persons who can easily visualize and have a vivid imagination. But it’s definitely another gateway for better gaming in the near future. Emotiv said that this device will help the gamer develop some skills especially visualization as included in the thought processes. It will also provide gamers with a more personal and interactive gaming experience.

The company that produced it Emotiv Systems was established in 2003 with the pioneer Allan Snyder, a prize-winning scientist and Neil Weste, founder of Radiata Communications.
