If you have taken an interest in the latest occurrences with the Dell Inc. you’ll know that they have launched the IdeaStorm Web site where visitors can give their suggestions on how Dell can best provide their needs, what they have been hungering for and what they really want most from Dell. As expected, the site was flooded with suggestions and after just a week Dell has finally listened to the majority of suggestions which is for them to develop and launch a new line of certified, user-friendly Linux-based desktop and laptop computers.

The company will now be taking the necessary steps in order to endorse three of its hardware lines namely the OptiPlex desktops, Latitude notebooks and the Dell Precision workstations. These hardware lines will be certifies in such a way that will make them compatible with Novell SUSE Linux. The company stressed however, that the hardware or the computers will be made ready to work with Linux and not that they would be loaded with it upon purchase.

These suggestions will be a big help in revitalizing and strengthening the company’s financial performance.
