The clamor for better Internet services is increasing by the day. But pretty soon some of the demand will be met, especially in the Saudi Arabia region because Samsung Electronics has recently closed a deal with Data Service Provider, Bayanat Al-Oula. The deal states that Samsung will be the one to arrange the biggest WiMAx equipment and devices to Bayanat Al-Oula starting this January 2007 up to a period of two years.
Samsung To Provide WiMAX Technology to Saudi Arabia
The deal came through because of Bayanat’s desire to provide commercial services this year 2007 to the four major cities in Saudi Arabia namely Riyadh, Dammam, Makkah and Jedah, using the WiMAX technology. This step will be a very advantageous one not only for the two companies but also for Saudi Arabia itself. By providing a wider scope of high-speed Internet access, video and audio streaming as well as wireless VPN connectivity the people will also be given the chance to improve and widen their horizon.
Bayanat Al-Oula was established by a group of local top telecommunication firms in 2004 and at present it is the leading alternative services provider in Saudi Arabia. Bayanat and Samsung’s partnership will be a fruitful one because of their individual expertise combined towards a single goal
