Online TV is becoming one of the most availed internet services these days. A lot of companies are just too willing to join in the fray. The most recent contender is Joost. It’s pronounced as “juiced”. This is another online service that aims to improve the quality of video content found on the net. Their service will be just like other popular online video providers, just like YouTube, only that they aim to provide a much better content. Take note that Joost’s service will be for free since its operation will be supported through advertising.
The demand for more online TV service is really evident because even though Joost is still on its trial run, many users are already clamoring for it. At the present time Joost can only offer limited content, but they are getting bigger everyday since they are continually signing up content partners. If you’re interested who they have partnered with, well they have Endemol and national Geographic . . . and that’s just to name some. We can expect more in the days to come.
Joost is actually developed by Skype founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis. Previously named as The Venice Project, Joost is now on its way in providing more content and more interactive services!
