After their success with their fist model, microprocessor company Intel is going to release a new version of the four-core in January.
They are expected to launch it for desktop PCs during the CES trade show in Las Vegas this coming January.

Now consumers and especially gamers will get much more bit for their bite as Intel delivers a strong blow to rivals AMD. AMD's dual-core Opteron and Athlon chips have helped AMD gain market over Intel but all that will change this January as the gloves come off from both companies. In the long run, the company plans to use multicore processors as the engines for its full range of technology platforms in the digital home, office, mobile and enterprise markets.
