Since the Wii took a bloody nose with remote controllers flying all over the place, Xbox probably thought it would be a good idea and a good time to make the company look good.

Microsoft has extended the warranty of all Xbox 360 consoles from 90 days to a full year in the United States and Canada. But this offer is only valid for Xbox consoles less than 1 year old.

"Customer satisfaction is a central focus and priority for the Xbox 360 system," said Jeff Bell, corporate VP of Global Marketing for Microsoft.

I really don't see this as such a generous offer, do you? Usually, most electronic products all come with a one-year warranty anyway. Laptops, MP3 Players, DVDs all follow this rule.
