Good news for those who have been watching for the release of the Palm Treo 680 GSM Smartphone. Although there’s already an article in the Palm’s online store about this new handset, there’s still no accurate date as to when it will be made available to the market. Since it has been posted already, I’m pretty sure it won’t be long now before you get a taste of this low cost smartphone.

This new phone is worth waiting for since it offers quite a lot of features. This Palm OS smartphone for GSM networks will get you connected any time of the day or night and in whatever location you may be.

This is a smartphone that provides a VGA camera, a touch screen that sports a 320 x 320 resolution. I think excellent connectivity is offered by this phone with its 64 MB user-available memory and a 312 MHz Intel PXA270 processor. If you love to chat on the phone, no problem because the battery life of the Treo 680 can last up to 4 hours and that’s only for talk time. On the standby mode it is capable of lasting up to 300 hours. Of course it comes with Bluetooth. Based on the images available, the new 680 Treo looks really cute, probably the smallest in the Treo line-up. This smartphone is made even more delightful because it will be available in Graphite, Crimson, Arctic and Copper.
