By Friday US video gamers will finally get a taste of the new Sony Playstation 3 . . . that’s if you can be lucky enough to get your hands on one. Reports say that demand outruns the supply of this new gaming console, and this taking into account the release of the said console in Japan.

During the Japan launch, the people waited in line many hours before the actual launch just to be sure that they will be able to get their hands on this much awaited gadget. I guess most of the people who went in line were able to get one since Sony made a sold out with the 100,000 units in Japan. For the US launch, a reported 400, 000 units will be made available. With this figure, we will just have to wait whether demand will really outrun the supply.

But at this very moment the Japanese gamers are enjoying themselves playing Blast Factor, Mainichi Issyou, Ridge Racer 7 demo. They also had a first taste of the videos Gran Turismo HD, Afrika, Genji, Casino Royale Trailer, Open Season Trailer and BluRay Trailers. All of these games and videos are fully downloadable from the Playstation store.

Being the first to try it out, Japanese gamers found out certain things that were not made clear during the launch. For example the memory car adaptor will only be necessary if you want to transfer data from the cards you presently use. Multi tasking is possible with the PS3 but you can’t use devices like iPod at the same time. These are only some of them, American gamers will surely find out the rest by Friday. Well, happy gaming!
