Finally, RIM officially introduces the Blackberry 8100 or the “Pearl.” This smart phone, measuring 4.2"x1.97"x.57" and weighing only 3.1 ounces, is said to be the smallest smart phone available in the market. It will be commercially available in the US on September 12 and in Canada and some European countries next month probably for about $199.

This small Blackberry phone is not only stylish but it packs a great number of features as well including a 1.3 megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom, 240 x 260 65k color screen, built-in 64MB flash memory, music and video player, and Bluetooth connectivity. It comes with a MicroSD card slot that lets users store more music, photos and videos in this phone. Blackberry 8100 also features improved SureType QWERTY keypad for easy and faster typing and dialing.
