Samsung SGH-P900D

Samsung is going to show off their new Samsung SGH-P900D Dual T-DMB handset at the IFA 2006 (international show of electronic entertainment, communications and information products) in Berlin happening on the first week of September.

This phone, which debuted during the World Cup, supports terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting and features a 2.2-inch rotatable landscape/ portrait screen with QVGA resolution, 2-megapixzel camera, stereo speakers, MP3 player, 150-MB memory, MicroSD memory slot and a lot more.

Through the Samsung SGH-P900D Dual T-DMB phone, Samsung will prove at the IFA that DMB standard phones have something more to offer. This phone, which is said to embody the future of dual-band phones, can let users enjoy as much as 20 TV channels as long as all wave bands are allocated and the channels are assigned accordingly, according to Samsung.

At present, mobile TV users in some cities in Germany including Berlin and Frankfurt can access only 4 channels. Samsung plans to offer DMB service to more cities in Germany soon. Hopefully, it will also be available in other countries other than China, Korea, Germany and European countries.
