Here’s a new device that would stop men from hogging the remote control! It’s called Flip Remote as it features a cool flip up design that of a clamshell mobile phone. It’s made by a group of designers from Geisen Design. Traditional functions like volume are found on the outer shell of the flip remote control while more complicated functions are inside.

Geisen Design’s flip remote control is specially designed with the younger and more fashionable audience in mind, but probably others (especially women who don’t get to watch TV often because their sports-mad husbands always hog the remote control), would be more interested in buying this device—just in case it hits the store shelves. I bet young girls wouldn’t mind if their older brothers always hog the remote control as they can always resort to reading a magazine or they can just phone a friend and talk for hours. On the other hand, boys might just let their dads take control of the remote control and resort to a lot of high-tech entertainment alternatives they have nowadays.
