Scanning photos and documents is now easier and better than ever with the newest line of flatbed Canon scanners: the CanoScan 8600F, the LiDE 600F, the CanoScan 4400F, and the LiDE 70. All these scanners boast its automatic alignment feature that lets you achieve straight scans all the time. Except for the last one, all the new scanners have transparency adaptors that let you scan film.
The CanoScan 8600F is the most sophisticated among the new scanners. It allows high resolution scanning of up to 12 frames of 35-mm negatives and is equipped with Canon’s FARE Level 3 technology that clears problems caused by dust, scratches and the like. The CanoScan 4400F on the other hand can scan up to 6 35-mm films while the LiDE 600F can scan up to 6 frames at the same time. LiDE 600F can also be used vertically.
LiDe 70 is the most affordable scanner in the new series, but it also comes with a host of respectable features including its Canon s Z-Lid technology that lets you scan bulky items easily and conveniently. It allows you to scan at a maximum 2400 x 4800 dpi resolution and lets you copy and scan documents to email and into a photo or a PDF image file.
