Wanna Be Invisible? Scientists Say You Can

Invisible Woman

It’s not magic but physics that can explain why you can be invisible. A research recently published in the New Journal of Physics tells us that being invisible is not far from reality. Theoretical physicist Dr. Ulf Leonhardt of St Andrews University in Scotland says humans can be like Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four who “guides light around her using a force field.” This creates an optical illusion of invisibility. He said that “objects are visible because they reflect light rays. To be invisible, an object would have to let light pass through it.”

To be invisible, you need a device that would bend light without producing an image, says Dr. Leonhardt. This invisibility device should posses painstakingly designed refractive index profiles. This device still remains to be imaginary as of now but scientists are already looking for ways to develop such a device that would allow humans to be “invisible.” Who knows, they might be able to create one soon.

    oh wow,

that is so interesting, but from where did you get the info?

but one thing, why do humans need to be invisible, i am scared of the moral consequences of such invention if it to take palce!!!!!
