Sony Europe introduced last Wednesday two High Definition camcorders: the Sony HDR-UX1E and the Sony HDR-SR1E. Both Sony camcorders are equipped with state-of-the-art features aside from the new AVCHD format; these are the distinctive Sony ClearVid CMOS Sensor that lets users achieve clear, detailed and high-resolution videos; 4-megapixel still image recording that lets users capture still photos in crisp and vivid colors; 3.5-inch Clear Photo LCD plus, the largest camcorder LCD screen available, which allows user to see clearly and precisely what the camcorder captures; and assignable ring feature that has focus, exposure, AE shift or white balance shift functions.
The Sony HDR-UX1E is very versatile as it allows you to record videos using either high definition or standard definition mode. It impressively captures videos at 12Mbps and it is likewise capable of recording 1-hour HD video in 5Mbps mode and 27-minute video in 12Mbps mode through DVD+R DL discs. The Sony HDR-SR1E on the other hand, boasts it 30GB built-in hard disk that allows you to record videos with 1080i HD resolution for a long time.
