It’s not only Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty that inspire designers to create their masterpieces. Today, even villains prove they can also be a source of inspiration! Why do I say that? It’s because Footwear designer Kobi Levi was inspired by them!

Levi, who was born in Israel, took a different path and used fairy tale villains like Ursula, Maleficent and the Evil Queen as inspirations for his new and unique footwear line.

Selena Gomez wowed everyone with her all-black outfit during the taping with David Letterman last Wednesday. Many were taken in by her dress but for me, what captured my interest most was her knee-high boots! They look perfect on Selena’s slim legs!

It turns out the boots were a Brian Atwood creation. It is the Electra Leather Cutout Knee-High Boots. This footwear is designed with a leather upper, back zip for easy wear and removal. The open toe is just right for showing off those perfectly manicured toes. The leather lining and sole of this pair gives it a premium finish and the padded insole makes it comfy to wear.

Just recently Adidas had to cancel one of Jeremy Scott’s designs for the brand amidst the uproar that the design depicts racism and slavery. The particular design was the JS Roundhouse Mid “Handcuff” sneakers.

The pair wouldn’t have caused such as uproar had it not been for the bright orange ankle cuffs attached to the shoes. And I think the fact that the cuffs were attached by a chain didn’t help matters either. After Adidas put up the shoe in their Facebook page, a storm of negative reactions immediately came.
