Akon is now a certified perfumer with the launch of his very first scent called Konvict. Akon fanatics out there are probably not surprised by the name since it was probably derived from his top-selling album Konvicted. Konvict is a fragrance formulated to suit both sexes. There’s the Konvict Femme which is for women and Konvict Homme for men.

To suit scent that most women prefer, Konvict Femme is made up of mandarin, lemon, vanilla, and almond musk flavours. On the other hand, Konvict Homme is a micture of lemon, bergamot, sandalwood, and cedar.

Jen has just signed a new deal with Falic Group which means that she will be launching her own perfume very soon! Ok, so she hasn’t confirmed it yet but, we’re positive that there is going to be a fragrance soon! You know what? The perfume will be called “Brad Pitt I’m So Over You”... just kidding! I believe she hasn’t really chosen a name for it yet. And by the way, Falic Group is also working with Eva Longoria who is also set to launch her own perfume brand!

Avon, one of the leading companies for women has a new endorser. It’s Zoe Saldana! If you watched Avatar you’ll know her there as Neytiri. Zoe joins Reese Witherspoon, Salma Hayek, Courteney Cox, Fergie, and others who are also partners with Avon.

Zoe will be the spokeswoman of the company in April when the new fragrance, Eternal Magic, debuts. This fragrance, by the way, is inspired by Princess Monaco Rose. She will also be the new face of Avon’s brochure on its color cosmetics collection.

Wanted, the name says it all! This is the name of the new fragrance by renowned cosmetics entrepreneur Helena Rubinstein. This fragrance is concocted to deliver a vibrant woody and floral bouquet that will make a woman desirable. The major flavors on the top notes are ylang-ylang and magnolia that gives off a fruity-lemon aroma. After the first sniff, the bouquet becomes freshly floral and sweet. The base which is of wood gives Wanted its sensual flavor.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians’ star collaborated with the company Lighthouse Beauty for her upcoming fragrance. Kim was totally involved in the making of the fragrance because she really wanted it to smell the way she envisioned it to be. For the top notes, Kim liked the heart of jasmine, tuberose and gardenia, drydown of tonka bean, jacaranda wood and sandalwood.

Despite filing for bankruptcy, the House of Escada still managed to launch a new fragrance – Desire Me with Olivia Wilde as model. Desire Me is the successor of Escada’s successful Incredible Me perfume which was launched in 2008. This perfume’s name says what it’s all about. It’s all about being sexy, sensual, and alluring.

Do you like the timeless scent of roses? Yves Saint Laurent tried to capture the Damask rose’s scent in its new Parisienne perfume. Although this perfume is set to be launched in October, it’s already available now at Harrod’s. Parisienne is a fragrance that targets women who are in their thirties. It’s a grown up scent whose core is the damask rose. This is mixed with violet, peony, patchouli, vetiver, and a vinyl accord. This fragrance aims to evoke a feel of Paris and how it was way back when.

Have your heard of Apple Bottoms? This is the clothing line designed by Nelly, the rapper, together with his cousin and his friend. Interestingly, Apple Bottoms is a line that’s aimed for women who have very well-rounded figures. The line was a success when it was launched in 2003. There was still something missing from the line however. But that void will soon be filled with the Fall launch of the Apple Bottoms signature fragrance! Yup, we sure can’t wait to see and smell it!
