cameron diaz oscar red carpet dress

The worst dress on the red carpet last night at the Oscars 2008 wasn’t really that bad … but in comparison with the other gowns present, it was ordinary!
Cameron Diaz’s pale pink Dior by John Galliano was a little too simple and too pale for such an event.
The color was all wrong … this season is all about bold colors like red, black and deep purple, but definitely not pale pink!
Cameron’s hair was also too simple … she might look great in au naturel style, but not on an Oscar night!
Her hair was off the beach simple and gives a shabby effect that doesn’t even suit the gown she’s wearing!
Sorry Cammie …

oscars best black dresses

As there were red gowns at the red carpet of the Oscars last night, there were stunning black ones too.
Black gives a great contrast with the red and is totally chic, especially for the most important night in Hollywood.
The top 3 black dresses of the night were worn by Penelope Cruz, Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner.
Cruz wore a Chanel Haute Couture feather embroidered gown, designed by Karl Lagerfeld just for her.
Swank wore an off the shoulder Versace gown.
Garner wore a black taffeta Oscar de la Renta design which was extra serious!
As for Nicole Kidman, she wore a black gown as well. A to-the-floor Balenciaga gown, that showed off a tiny baby bump.

heidi klum in red

The Oscars red carpet is no doubt one of the most glamorous runways of the year! Big stars in big, expensive designs.
Some hit bull’s-eye, while others got off rail a bit!
Last night the trend at the Oscars was red … a seductive and attractive color that is as perfect as black for such an event.
The first star to stun in red was Heidi Klum in a Galliano Gown. Which by the way, will be auctioned off online to benefit Red Heart Truth charity.
Then Anne Hathaway followed in a Marchesa gown and Katherine Heigl in an Escada gown.
Even Billion dollar girl Miley Cyrus was in a red Valentino gown.
Helen Mirren was in the a regal red dress, maybe the best that night! She wore a George Chakra design with stunning Swarovski diamond sleeves! That suited her and gave her a queen-like aura!

rihanna for H&M

Rihanna … you continually surprise us with your fashion sense, and I say that in an approving way. I really like the way she carved her own unique niche in the music industry and also her own mark in style and fashion. And today she exhibits more of her fashion sense in the new H&M collection that she's endorsing.
Her endorsement is not merely for glamor because the new H&M collection is meant for a higher cause which is to support the global HIV/AIDS-prevention projects.
Among the collection is a racer-back tank top that she designed herself. As you can see it is stamped with her personality which is sexy and edgy at the same time.

The red carpet at the 2008 SAG awards last night was a great opportunity to see celebrities and stunning gowns! While, i have to say, some gowns were just plain ugly!
But, i won't be talking about those ... the best gowns of the night are the ones that count!
Long, flowing and strapless, were the characteristics of most of the best gowns.
The best 6 gowns at the red carpet were worn by Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, America Ferrera, Christina Applegate, Amanda Bynes and Marion Cotillard.
Angelina Jolie chose a flow-y, strapless Hermes gown.
Mom-to-be Cate Blanchett, chose an embroidered Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière.
Ugly Betty's America Ferrera looked nothing less than beautiful in a gray Monique Lhuillier gown.
Christina Applegate went for a sparkling, white Elie Saab creation.
Amanda Bynes looked like a modern-day princess in a beaded Marchesa gown.
As for best actress nominee, Marion Cotillard, she looked regal in gray, strapless Nina Ricci gown.

Best Gowns at The 2008 SAG Awards

Shants

Shocking! And sort of hilarious that’s how I’d describe this “SHANTS” as they call it. See the picture? So maybe you won’t be wondering all that hard anymore why it is called that. It’s your sheer pants! Think you’d want to wear something like that? Well if you are don’t wear it anytime soon in a public place, people might get outraged! And you just might be charged with public scandal, even in this day and age when everything just goes. This is outrageous actually because it’s a reveal all things since there is just a narrow strip of cloth to cover up the strategic area in the crotch!

nicole kidman silver suit

Nicole Kidman always looks stunning on the red carpet ... her gowns are trendy, classy and top notch!
She could never be in a Fashion Disaster post! Never!
Nicole Kidman wore something quiet different on the red carpet of the Australian premiere of "The Golden Compass" ... She chose a suit, a silver suit!
From far, the suit looks like a big piece of tin foil! Don't you think so?
But really, Nicole's got everything in perfect place and always looks chic.
What do you think of her silver suit? Love it or Hate it?

red skinny jeans

It's the holiday season and we love to dress up for it.
Red sweaters, mistletoe earrings, red & green checkered skirt, dark green knitted jacket ...
But Katie Holmes decided to wear red skinny jeans for the occasion.
Katie was out gift shopping in L.A. and was spotted wearing the red jeans paired up with a grey turtle-neck and black knitted jacket.
What do you think of this look? Do you love it or hate it?
Would you wear red skinny jeans for Christmas? ... Hmm ... I would!

As usual fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld was first to show off his new Causal Summer Clothes collection. As anyone who follows fashion designing will know that casual clothes are the hardest element for any designer. Vogue the popular British fashion magazine released their list of most fashionable women. But did you know that being fashionable and stylish is not only for the young? It’s true with Vogue by naming Helen Mirren, Vanessa Redgrave, Charlotte Rampling and the Queen among the 50 most glamorous women of date. The Queen is known for her choice of stout pair of brogues and headscarves, pieces of clothing that are not usually equated with idea of being fashionable. Vogue proves that being glamorous is not all about the clothes but also on how well you carry the clothes. To quote Vogue about the Queen, “She is as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral as she is wearing the crown jewels.”
