This year’s Billboard Awards was all about sophistication and opulence, obviously, since it was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. I gotta say Miley Cyrus surprised me nicely with her very sophisticated look! For the big event, Miley chose a Balmain creation. It was a jumpsuit with black and white diamond pattern on the bodice and the legs. The sleeveless number hugged Miley’s very toned body like second skin and she looked great! Her cropped hairstyle made the whole look more edgy! She rightly paired the Balmain jumpsuit with black pee toe heels.

The 2013 Cannes Film Festival kicked off yesterday, May 15, in France. To mark the 66th annual event, celebrities put their best foot forward in terms of fashion. As with these events, a few hit it right and a few misses. During the Cannes Film Festival opening, the celebrities who wowed the crowd include Frieda Pinto, Lana Del Rey, Cara Delevigne, Isla Fisher, and Georgia May Jagger.

Frieda Pinto could not be ignored in her hot pink outfit by Gucci. It featured a halterneck and bare back. She cinched it at the waist with a gold belt with floral accents. It was made of frothy material so the gown swished gracefully with every move.

Last Monday’s Met Ball Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York was a night of colors and fabulous gowns. Like in previous Met Balls, last Monday’s event was met with some over-the-top outfits. However, only a handful was able to follow the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture!” Perhaps some of them were not informed of the dress code.

Zoe Saldana sure knows the styles that work for her! The 34-year-old actress proved that in Berlin on Sunday. She hit the right notes with her outfit during the photocall and the premiere of her latest movie “Star Trek.”

For the photocall held on Sunday morning, Zoe wore a grey ensemble by Calvin Klein. It featured a pleated skirt and a cropped sleeveless top. The most eye-catching feature of her outfit was the back portion of the top which was designed with criss-cross straps! The flirty outfit was paired with the cute-looking nude heels with cutout on the sides.

Heidi Klum and Mel B. are two of the most talked about judges on America’s Got Talent especially since they are the newest judges on the panel. No doubt there will be some competition between these two ladies along the way. But wait! I think the competition has started already in terms of fashion!

Last Sunday night’s 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards was not solely about music. It was also a night of fashion as the biggest names in country music donned their best frocks to the event. Once again, there are a few made fabulous choices in the outfit they wore to the event.

First on our best dressed list for this year’s ACM Awards is Jewel who wore a beautiful strapless peach gown by Georges Chakra Couture. The gown was really cut out for her body and the color is absolutely stunning on her honey blonde hair and tanned skin. It had lots of attractive sequins on its mermaid skirt.

It’s nice when music and fashion come together the way it’s doing so in Yves Saint Laurent’s latest campaign. In keeping with YSL’s “Saint Laurent Music Project” the brand enlisted musicians like Kim Gordon, Ariel Pink, and the controversial Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson! Since it’s a music-inspired project, they’re the perfect choice!

The campaign shot by Hedi Slimane sees all four artists style themselves for the shoot in order to get that air of authenticity. And the four really did well in style department!

For sure H&M will increase their sales and profits this year. You know why? Because they have Beyonce fronting their new summer campaign! As you all know, Beyonce has never had a flop project in her life so it just follows that this campaign will turn to gold as well.

Stills from her H&M advert has emerged and they show the mom-of-one looking gorgeous in an unbuttoned cream shirt and patterned short shorts while reclining in a sun lounger. The singer has her curly hair gathered to one side and a flower in her hair.

Heidi Klum’s empire has just gotten bigger with the launch of her latest fitness collection. This batch is actually the third collection for her New Balance line.

This latest collection will cater to every woman and girl’s needs since it is composed of cowl neck cover-up, cropped tights, colorblock shorts, racerback tanks and a lot more! Heidi made sure that these items are not only functional but stylish as well.
