Kate Moss is a supermodel so I guess it is just natural that she will also end up launching her very own clothing line. Modeling is still all about fashion after all! She introduced her first clothing line last May and if you followed it up you know how fans flocked at Oxford Street that time, so now she on to her second batch Topshop collection. After the dispatch of her own perfume line…which was sold out on the first day… Kate will be officially launching her second Topshop collection September 7, that’s today!

Fashion Week is on the roll! It’s that time again when more than 60 designers will show off their creations, this time for the 2008 Spring-Summer look. Fashion editors, stylists and buyers will have 8 days of fun going through and judging best fashion for both men and women. Valentino Retires after 45 Years!

Famous designer Valentino announced his retirement yesterday.
He said in a statement released to PEOPLE: "At this time, I have decided that is the perfect moment to say adieu to the world of fashion. As the English say, I would like to leave the party when it is still full."
But, it's not over till the fat lady sings ... which sill be in October! Valentino is going to design one last ready-to-wear collection for the Paris fashion week.

Cruz Sisters Launch New Mango Clothing Line

Penelope Cruz has more talent than we bargained for. She has already proven herself in the world of acting and in the runways of modeling. Now she ventures into the realm of fashion design. Penelope with her sister Monica Cruz designed a new line of clothing for the Spanish design house Mango (MNG). The new line was launched last July 16 in Ibiza, Spain. This new clothing line consists of ultra-sexy fall and winter clothes…with their sultry personalities stamped on each and every item. The collection is made up of 25 items varying from jeans, sweaters and tee shirts. They also have some collectibles to go with it.

July 14 marked the debut of Jessica Simpson’s new line of swimwear. This is not her first venture into the world of fashion design…based from the reviews of her fashion show, her effort is a success. It’s all a great thing because she really she was all-out in the preparation, even hand-picking the models for the job! Her mom, Tina, was also there during the show, supporting her daughter.

16-Year Olds Could Be Banned from the Runway

The fashion industry has always been associated with skinny and almost anorexic girls. If you will recall some months back a model died because of some health problems. The escalating health problems among models have prompted the Model Health Inquiry to come up with meticulous actions in order to confront the eating disorders among them. It can even come to the point wherein models under 16 could be banned from gracing the catwalks. And aside from looking into the models’ health, models 17-18 years old should be chaperoned when going on shows.

Former Dior designer Gianfranco Ferre died last night at the age of 62 due to massive brain hemorrhage after being taken to San Raffaele hospital in Milan on Friday. Ferre played a great role establishing Dior brand and in creating designs that are really one of a kind, hence he was labeled as the “architect of fashion”. Ferre really made his mark in the industry because of the structured and sculpted shapes of his designs. Among Dior’s collection, his trademark was the white blouse and his suits were just the perfect things for women who aren’t afraid to take on the corporate world.

Being padded, the new bra packs a little more bulk than most regular designs.

Muffin Tops ... NO !

The newest “Out” in fashion is the scary “Muffin top”; this happens when a combination of a tight waist trousers and a tight short top come together, and the belly flesh happens to dangle over the panel of the trousers, just like a muffin about to explode out of the pan … Yuck! This is not a nice sight!
Don’t think it is a fat problem, No! It is just a bad case of ill fitted pants!
If you want to have a muffin, make sure it comes out of the oven, not over the jeans!
