The red carpet at the 2008 SAG awards last night was a great opportunity to see celebrities and stunning gowns! While, i have to say, some gowns were just plain ugly!
But, i won't be talking about those ... the best gowns of the night are the ones that count!
Long, flowing and strapless, were the characteristics of most of the best gowns.
The best 6 gowns at the red carpet were worn by Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, America Ferrera, Christina Applegate, Amanda Bynes and Marion Cotillard.
Angelina Jolie chose a flow-y, strapless Hermes gown.
Mom-to-be Cate Blanchett, chose an embroidered Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière.
Ugly Betty's America Ferrera looked nothing less than beautiful in a gray Monique Lhuillier gown.
Christina Applegate went for a sparkling, white Elie Saab creation.
Amanda Bynes looked like a modern-day princess in a beaded Marchesa gown.
As for best actress nominee, Marion Cotillard, she looked regal in gray, strapless Nina Ricci gown.

It’s been a while since I wrote an update on the happenings on Project Runway. In fact 4 contestants have already said goodbye to the show since the last update. So, to give you a quick recap on what transpired in the precious episodes:

• Episode 6 was the “Eye Candy” where the remaining contestants created an outfit using materials they got at the Hershey’s Store. They were given one day to accomplish the project and at the end of the day Rami was proclaimed winner and Elisa was given the marching orders.
• Episode 7 “What a Girl wants” was the time contestants were tasked to make a prom dress for a group of girls. With $250 budget and 2 days to make the dresses, Victorya emerged as winner and Kevin was out.
• Episode 8 is “En Garde”. They were grouped into pairs with one acting as the team leader. The task? They had to create avant-garde or out of the ordinary outfit that will go match their respective model’s hair style. The teams were actually asked to create two kinds of outfit with their $350 budget. Christian shone above the rest while Kit did not measure up, so out she went.

From time to time my officemate brings some jewelry and accessories to the office. Sometimes I also can’t help but look at the goodies she brings. The ones she brings are usually silver. Silver is great but I usually see a lot of women wearing beaded necklaces, and I mean the really huge ones too! They are really eye catching. Beads are unique and I think wooden necklaces are very unique as well, like this Wooden Necklace by Dsquared2.

This Wooden Necklace is a unique combination of… yup you guessed it right, wood, and especially silver. The wood is crafted into discs and accented with round metal studs in the middle. The discs are also made with holes where the polished silver chain goes through linking them all. And the clasp looks beautiful…it’s an oversized “D2” logo hook and eye clasp.

There is no doubt that Valentino is one the great icons in the fashion industry. His contributions in the fashion industry are endless and even now in his 45 years in the industry it is still one of the most recognized. A documentary of his interesting and highly successful career will be coming to the big screen. The documentary is entitled “Valentino: The Last Emperor.” This special is directed by Vanity Fair special correspondent Matt Tyrnauer. If you are an avid Valentino fan you’d have to watch out for this documentary since it will not only include his work but also his relationships and the people he had come across in his 45 years in the business. This will really be an encompassing film because Matt Tyrnauer spent about 2 years collecting the videos that will truly show the man and his craft.

I’ve already laid my admiration for Katie Holmes in her choice of outfit. And she has done it again with the dress she wore for the premier of her movie Mad Money. This movie also includes Oscar winner Diane Keaton and nominee Queen Latifah. Anyway, I just love this dress Katie wore especially with its strapless design, which in my point of view is a grey/silver color that is accentuated by lots of beads. The whole design is actually just simple but mind you, it is oozing with class and sophistication! Well, it would be a shame if it did not, since it is an Armani dress. She looked really stunning at the premier that Tom Cruise just couldn’t seem to take his eyes off her. It’s sweet!

Shocking! And sort of hilarious that’s how I’d describe this “SHANTS” as they call it. See the picture? So maybe you won’t be wondering all that hard anymore why it is called that. It’s your sheer pants! Think you’d want to wear something like that? Well if you are don’t wear it anytime soon in a public place, people might get outraged! And you just might be charged with public scandal, even in this day and age when everything just goes. This is outrageous actually because it’s a reveal all things since there is just a narrow strip of cloth to cover up the strategic area in the crotch!

Hey girls, what is it that you consider primarily when you pull on an outfit? Especially when going out for special occasions? Definitely it would never do have your under things showing up in the most awkward places! That is a big No-No! To avoid this kind of embarrassment make sure you have the right set of lingerie for every occasion. Anyway, it won’t be hard to find the right lingerie because there are a lot of selections available nowadays.

We had our company Christmas party last week, and what a party it was because all of us had to wear a costume! Any fantasy costume. My officemates really made great effort on their costume; a lot of them wore boots. I don’t know what brand their boots were but they looked good… made me feel somewhat envious.
