Have you ever considered having paper as your jewelry? Frankly, I haven’t because I didn’t think there was any way it could be considered as such. But, I have been proven wrong! Paper can be a great material to use in making jewelry as Sarah Louise Kelly found out.

She started working on paper for small projects but as she continued to use this material she was charmed by its sensitive and ephemeral quality. She has created bangles, necklaces, pins, and earrings all made of paper! She now calls her collection as Saloukee – derived from her name.

Once you see these pieces, you’d find it hard to believe that they were molded out of paper. So far, all the designs are very unique and intricately done. The process of creating them involved using hundreds of rivets, intricate laser cutting techniques, and complex paper folding techniques.
Have you ever worn paper jewelry? If not, would you be willing to start with this Saloukee collection?
