Oscars 2009 - Red Carpet Designer Gowns

Last night my eyes were about to pop out because of the numerous eye-catching gowns that the beautiful celebrities wore on the red carpet of The 2009 Oscars.
There were so many designs and colors!
Black was very dominant and as the saying goes Black is the king of colors!
So, if you go for the right design in black, you've scored sky-high points!

I'll have to start with Angelina Jolie, who looked stunning in a black, strapless, Elie Saab gown.
Then I'd say Diane Lane, who also opted for a long, black, strapless number by Dolce & Gabbana!
Vanessa Hudgens also went for a black Marchesa design, which is very beautiful but maybe a little too much for a young lady of 20 years!
Halle Berry also wore black, but her dress was glittering with gold! Halle wore a fishtail Marchesa dress with gold embroidery.
Beyonce also wore a black and gold fishtail dress, but her gown is designed by House of Deron!
Keep in mind that the fishtail design is perfect for those that have a perfect hour-glass figure!

Moving on to another color, which is the opposite of black in this case, off white!
Many chose off white gowns, like Penelope Cruz in vintage Pierre Balmain or Jennifer Aniston in Valentino or Sarah Jessica Parker in Dior Haute Couture!

Red was there, Heidi Klum wore red and nominee Amy Adams chose a Carolina Herrera bustier dress in Crimson.
Purple was there as well. Alicia Keys wore a plum color Armani Prive, while Natalie Portman turned heads in a very simple, strapless, light purple Rodarte dress!

I spotted Miley Cyrus a bit late. She wore a Zuhair Murad design.
The gown is actually a sparkly v-neck bodice and tiered skirt.
The impression from this dress is not easy to the eye, but you get used to it quickly and Voila! It's actually a good design! different and eye-catching!
