Paris Fashion Week for 2008 is over, but for sure the pieces that were shown there will live on. The brand that’s going to lead the way in terms of new skirt trends is Louis Vuitton I’m sure of it. Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection will for sure be received with great anticipation by the public. I think this collection is inspired by the idea that less is fashionable. The designer of the whole collection, Marc Jacobs described the skirts as next-to-nothing, almost-nothing, and less-than-nothing. There are even some skirts that feature a see-through panel at the rear for what purpose, we don’t know either. The skirts were made in a pieced together dotted tulle, metallic lame, and lace.
It was an amazing show in the runway for Louis Vuitton. All of its colorful creations received loud applause from the thousands of audience watching. Well, you can’t really stop yourself from praising the designs as models treaded the runway wearing military spencer-jackets with colored snakeskin and leather inserts. They had these jackets paired with micro-skirts made in lime, pink, and orange color. Some were also wearing sequined shorts and sleeves and waistcoats with checkerboard pattern embroidery.
