Jenna Bush’s Wedding Dress is Simply Elegant

It was all over the news that last Saturday, President Bush’s daughter, Jenna, got married to Henry Chase Hager. It was just a low-key affair with approximately 200 guests.
Anyway, what I’m most interested in is the wedding dress that Jenna Bush wore during the wedding. I’d say simple and elegant – these are the words that perfectly describe her dress. Created by Oscar de la Renta, the dress was an embroidered organza gown. Every detail of the embroidery is done to perfection as you can see.

I like it a lot with its sleeveless design, V-neckline and open back. The great thing about this dress is its stunning simplicity. It clings to every curve, adding a sexy appeal to the one wearing it. The hem is just a bit lengthy so that it appears to be a perfect base when standing up. It is perfect for a wedding dress, but I think it can also be worn in other occasions as well.

Jenna’s twin sister Barbara also wore an Oscar de La Renta gown of moonstone blue shimmer with a silver sash. First Lady Laura Bush wore a deep turquoise gown also designed by Oscar de la Renta.

So, what do you think of Jenna’s dress?

I really love this dress. I'm getting married next summer and want this dress, but Oscar de La Renta is way out of my budget : ) any suggestions? I was thinking of just having one made.

I agree that this dress is wonderful. I am about to make my daughter's wedding dress. Does anyone know where there is a pattern for a similar dress?
