It would be unfair for the rest of the Project Runway contestants if they were not introduced to the world even just a little bit. To give you more about the contestants, here’s some more info about 5 of them. Let’s start off with 38-year-old Jack. This guy is a par of an upcoming SATC movie. Well, I can say that he has the looks for the big screen. Giving him a good grip on what it takes to be a fashion designer is his studies in Parsons School of Design. He has a called “Jack” that caters men’s wear.

I don’t know if you’ll find her sweet but the next contestant I’m about to introduce is actually named Sweet. This 48-year-old woman had her own collection of club wear tagged “Sweet P”. From club wear, her creations shifted to retro. For her a fashion must have is a dress.

Next is Carmen, the 37-year-old native of North Carolina. Fashion has always been her best interest since she was a kid. She even modeled for some well-known brands like Alexander Julian, DKNY and Anne Klein. Her earlier years were really connected to designing. “Sistahs of Harlem” was a clothing line that she and her partner launched in 2001. They also co-authored a do-it-yourself book “T-Shirt Makeovers: 20 Transformations for Fabulous Fashion”, a very lengthy title for a book if I may say so.

Next we have another guy, Chris who is a freelance Costume Designer in New York City. His work with “Beach Blanket Babylon” made him well known. And I think it’s kind of impressive that even though he doesn’t have a formal education in fashion still he’s able to achieve much in the world of fashion. He has worked with designers that are connected with shows like Tyra, Rachel Ray and MTV. He has a great preference for bright colored things.

Another trendy lady is Jillian, 26. Her favorite designers are Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga as well as Azzedine Alaia. For her, the fashion must-have is a sweater dress matched with opaque colored tights. She had her fashion education in Parsons School of Design where she was given the CFDA scholarship award. At present she is in the process of putting together her own clothing line.
