A few weeks ago I saw this report on TV wherein children are put at risk because of particular footwear, Crocs. You might be familiar with this one because this is at present very popular and preferred by a lot of people since the are comfortable and can be worn almost anywhere. But the popularity of this footwear may be at an end because of reports that Crocs footwear and the elevator just don’t match! Statistics about children wearing Crocs getting injured is on the rise. Children injure their toes when the footwear also gets caught in the “teeth” of the escalator. A broken toe is bad enough but there are even worse results from this kind of accident like a toe getting completely ripped off.

The Crocs clogs are great to use because they are non-marking and are slip-resistant shoes. But it seems that these features are also the ones to make it dangerous when riding on the escalator. Parents have to be warned about this in order for them to take care of their kid’s well-being. When wearing this kind of clogs it will be so much better to take the elevator instead of the escalator.
