Femininity Emphasized at NY Fashion Week

Fashion Week is on the roll! It’s that time again when more than 60 designers will show off their creations, this time for the 2008 Spring-Summer look. Fashion editors, stylists and buyers will have 8 days of fun going through and judging best fashion for both men and women. So far, there are some designers that made great impression with their 2008 Spring-Summer fashion line while there are others that did not. So what fashion line impressed? One is Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. collection. L.A.M.B. comprised of retro outfits yet with stylish lines and cut. Her collection includes sheath dresses, the Abingdon coat, short shorts, military-inspired jacket, plaid pleated dress and cape jacket.

Another notable design is Marchesa; exuding drama in its collection of long, black, lace and tulle slipdress, strapless gown, Indian-inspired outfits, and the dramatic magenta strapless gown. Another is Tahari showing softer designs with floral-pink caftans, safari jackets and sundresses. BCBG Max Azria collection also exudes femininity from the fabrics and the cuts used on the coatdress and slipdresses…Other designers that outdid themselves were Abaete, Y & KEI, Perry Ellis and Nautica.

Clothes churned out so far are all so feminine and quite colorful…Just the perfect theme for 2008 Spring-Summer season.
