The fashion industry has always been associated with skinny and almost anorexic girls. If you will recall some months back a model died because of some health problems. The escalating health problems among models have prompted the Model Health Inquiry to come up with meticulous actions in order to confront the eating disorders among them. It can even come to the point wherein models under 16 could be banned from gracing the catwalks. And aside from looking into the models’ health, models 17-18 years old should be chaperoned when going on shows.

This concern is not without basis as according to Model Health Inquiry head Lady Kingsmill, “We have been given startling medical evidence about the prevalence and impact of eating disorders in certain high-risk industry.” We all know that eating disorders are potentailly fatal so to alleviate more deaths among models and would-be models, this problem should be looked carefully looked into.
