If you will recall I have previously posted an article about Ralph Lauren receiving the very first to receive the new Fashion Legend Award. Yesterday, June 4, he finally got hold of the award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America annual awards. This event is also called as the “Oscars of Fashion”, an event where stars and well-known personalities get together in a colorful event. None other than Oprah, dressed in pink fashion, presented the award to Ralph Lauren.

Award for Menswear Designer of the Year and Womens Designer of the Year were also up for grabs last night. A handful of designers vied for it including David Neville, Marcus Wainwright, Italo Zucchelli, Oscar De La Renta, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough and Marc Jacobs. And some of the celebrities that attended the awards were Debra Messing who had Michael Kors as her escort, Heidi Klum and Eva Mendes.
