It is always great to attend shindigs and galas, right? It’s even better if you get to attend the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala where the hottest and most gorgeous hunks and babes flaunt their assets in gowns and outfits that’s worth almost your year’s salary put together. But anyway last Monday was the time the ladies from Hollywood got together in splendid gowns made by top fashion designers. This year’s theme celebrated designer Paul Poiret who specialized in fashion with shocking colors and exotic designs. Some of the personalities to make their presence known is Jessica Simpson in Roberto Cavalli halter dress that revealed her assets. The Olsen twins were also there – May Kate had a feathery black frock on accented by a black belt while Ashley wore an elegant, sleek white gown with a thick black belt.

Cameron Diaz looked real sweet in an eye-catching fuchsia-layered ruffled dress, which she accented with turquoise jewelry. Resplendent in a silver-draped Marchesa frock was Jennifer Lopez accompanied by hubby Marc Anthony. Lindsay Lohan was also there looking good in a black mesh, floor-length gown - a creation by Bally.

Personally I think that another celebrity that looked good that night were Sandra Bullock in her Alberta Ferretti gown, Jennifer Garner setting the temperature to hot in the crimson Valentino gown. Renee Zellweger was also there in a Carolina Herrera light blue strapless dress.

This year’s Gala was really star studded and full of salivating new fashion creations. I wonder what it will be for next year? Hmm..
