After the glamorous Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards is now next in line. Everyone knows that the Oscars is one of the most awaited awards for film in the whole world. As another of the most illustrious award-giving celebration, of course this also calls for a unique setting. In this year’s 79th Annual Academy Awards, Swarovski will take center stage, literally! A superbly sparkling Swarovski Crystal Curtain will grace the center of the Academy stage. Aside from the stars presence, this masterpiece curtain will for sure keep the audience’s eyes glued on the stage.

Come February 25 everyone will be able to see this dazzling centerpiece. This 34-foot curtain design has over 50, 000 crystals flown in principally from Austria. These crystals already amount to $1M.

This stunning masterpiece is made possible through the joint forces of Academy production team with illustrious crystal designer Swarovski. With this curtain design production designer J. Michael Riva said “The idea was to return to a simpler Hollywood glamour look for the Oscars this year - something that would sparkle on camera along with the gold of the Oscars… The sparkle of the Swarovski crystal curtain helped create our vision of glamour and return to old Hollywood elegance.” Likewise, Nadja Swarovski of the Swarovski Company said that they are honored to be in partnership with the Academy.
