Who hasn’t heard about the Grammy’s? Well, sorry but if you haven’t you’re way out of this world! The 49th Annual Grammy Awards was recently held in Staples Center, Los Angeles, California. And aside from knowing and the discussing who will win in the prestigious music awards, of course fashion is also a hot topic in this event. Who wore what, who looked hot and who did not, right on the red carpet. Yes, this topic will never become obsolete in events such as this.

The theme of the fashion seemed to be short and shimmery and almost everyone just dazzled. On the red carpet Vanessa Minillo had a Kevan Hall dress in shimmering silver with matching purse and sandals. The middle part of the dress is comprised of shimmery material and the neckline and the hemline is some kind of lace stuff. Personally I think the dress looked good on her, simple yet elegant - a perfect foil for her great tan! Hilary Duff was also there wearing D&G - Dolce and Gabbana sequined slip dress. She looked really gorgeous in her dress of gold and black combination with also some metallic stuff. But then an open-toed pair of sandals would have paired off well with her dress rather than the high-heeled close shoes. Short and glittery also worked for Nelly Furtado, Ciara and Petra Nemcova. Well these are only some of the fashion highlights starring short and glittery dresses!

But the of course like in any awards event, it will not be complete without the long and trailing gowns favored still by a lot of celebrities. Mary J. Blige for one looked sophisticated in her gown by Michael Kors, the dress just clung in the right places, making the dress look just right. American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is a winner once again being the Best Female Vocal Country category likewise in the pale gold gown that she wore. Paula Abdul also looked quite glamorous in her glittery black and white Valentino dress.
