Larger rooms aren’t necessarily better. I’d rather stay in a clean, cozy and well kept room rather than a large, bare and untidy room. If you have a small bedroom, you shouldn’t worry about styling it, you can even make it appear larger by keeping these essential things in mind:

1. Settle for light, fresh and cool colors like white, blue and green as they are gentle to the eyes.
2. If you want to use more than one color for your room, go for soothing monochromatic shades like cream and white, and pastel green and yellow.

3. Use plain beddings and pillow cases in neutral and light colors rather than those with large and colorful prints.
4. Get rid of tall, large and bulky furniture and accessories that block your view and create visual clutter.
5. If your furniture does not match your wall and ceiling’s color, paint it with a similar or matching color.
6. Use see-through curtains or uncover your windows to let more light in. If your room is a bit dark, add more light fixtures.
7. To create a spacious illusion, attach an oversize mirror to the wall of your room.
